How every reading becomes evidence.

Trace each source through normalization, deterministic calculation, display, interpretation, and its explicit inference boundary.

One directional path, four explicit boundaries

Evidence sources and trust boundaries

Every derived measure states its rule and limit

Formula, cohort, missingness, and interpretation boundary for every analytical transformation

What the interface refuses to assume

Every published figure, recomputed

Each figure the Atlas prints is recalculated from the retained corpus on every publish and compared against the value on the page, at the precision the page prints it. Figures that no longer reproduce are listed rather than quietly corrected, and every figure carries the series or peer group it belongs to — a gap is only judgeable against what the figure has done before.

Attention outside Hacker News

What the wider web was reading about the same subjects, drawn from sources that have nothing to do with this corpus. It is here, among the boundaries, because its only honest use is as context for a movement — never as its cause.
